Money Transfer system
I was thinking you could use a system like money orders. Where if you are in an instance, something could show up saying you are invited to trade with them, sort of long-distance like. But they have to be on your friends list, and cannot be invited if you have them on ignore, vice-versa. If you decline more than once, it won't popup to prevent annoying boxes everywhere while trying to fight. If you go DnD, or Offline, it won't showup. You also have the option to turn it off, but you are still able to trade personally.
Here's an example:
John wants to buy an obsidian edge, but his guild is going to Urgoz. While they are in Urgoz, they make a "rest-point" where everyone goes afk for a minute, so he can contact said player, and trade while they are out-of-instance.
If they can give us birthday gifts without being there, this option could SURELY be implemented.
Thoughts? Ideas?

I think there would be too many issues with the coding for that to happen.
And just for trades between friends, I think it's unnecessary and too big of a job for the benefit... what's wrong with friends waiting until someone's free, or have I missed what you meant?

Not gonna happen for several reasons. It isn't easy to code, and it is NOTHING like birthday presents. It has a lot of potential for abuse. It isn't needed. If you want to trade and are in the middle of a long mission, just tell the person you will hold it until you can meet. Nothing is so important it can't wait.

No, but it would be a nice luxery. I believe I covered the abuse problems, care to explain Red?
And how is it not like birthday presents? They showup in your inventory when you aren't even IN the game, they just get transfered from one thing (weather it being generated, traded, or sent from something) to another.
EDIT: Btw, I don't care if it's going to happen or not, I'd like to see people's opinions about it, so those posts can go away right now. Thanks.

Due to the current situation in Guild Wars itself, several people have been seen posting replies to threads stating that users might as well not make suggestions for Guild Wars: 1 because ArenaNet will likely not take any notice, or implement anything else. Sardelac Moderators would like to remind you that this is a place for discussion, and to share ideas, regardless of how likely they are to be implemented in GW:1.

It may be a convenience, however to do that the system will have to store/hold the transaction amount/item till the other accepts.
This opens up an avenue for potential scamming, hacking and errors during trade though.
The service brings just a little additional convenience to the occasional player. Don't see most people will use/need it (regualrly). The only group of people who would rejoice at this are most likely Chinese gold sellers

"hey bro, i'm 60% DP'ed at Joko's wanna throw me some powerstones because I stupidly forgot to get them?"
"Yeah no prob"
I vote for a cons storage accessible 100% of time O:

just echoing above statements. It seems like it would be an additional convenience though pretty minor. Im guessing much more work then the payoff is worth?
Where are the mods reminding us what we should discuss?

helix do you sit in front of your pc and think of ways to bug the fine people working on gw2? seriously man we will have to wait long enough for it without people begging for crap that wont happen to gw1.....
and yes i dont think that having an endless supply of cons/picks/ whatever the case maybe is a good idea. sorry mate.

i would like to maybe see something simular in gw2 but not gw1(its starting to smell decomposed)
/notsigned
i think this system tho would lead to some sort of scams,or even glitch/hacking. people spend all day and all night to find out how to break things.... too much work for very little gain, it wont bring players.
EDIT: also i think this would make it easier to bot/goldsell becuz of never needing to leave the area (like vaettir farming or IDS) all they gotta to is just rezone instead of going to town to drop items off and bla blah making it faster and more profitable, which this game certianly doesnt need anything easier.
what happen to playing a game for the sake of playing a game lol like old school nintendo

Birthday presents are generated in the persons inventory, they are not transfered there from another location. You ridea would require the game to know that person A has item X and person B has item Y. Then it would have to store that item in a new location until the transaction was completed, then transfer those items properly. If you remember an issue with duping Armbraces, this looks somewhat familiar. Give someone an item in transit, but don't allow the item to transfer and it could end up getting doubled. This is unnecesary, and has a LOT of potential for harm.
And as the other have mentioned, it opens up the ability to do things that should not be done. Although I'm not sure if it would be possible or not, it could cause issues in PvP as well. You have a shield for defense against slashing, blunt, fire, air, and piercing damage, but forgot the ebon. So trade with someone to get that ebon modded shield during your GvG.
I just see a disastrous amount of possible problems and a miniscule amount of benefit from this.
